A Dutch Fair. A hardcover portfolio from the 19th century. It contains 12 color lithographs by W.F.A.I. Vaarzon Morel (designed and applied to stone). Text by J. van Rennes. Haarlem, Published by the F. Bohn Estate, 1897.
Original portfolio with flaps. A total of 13 double loose leaves, including a title page with the table of contents. This shows discoloration. The 12 other leaves provide an explanatory text, each containing a color lithograph.
The whole is in beautiful, used condition. The exterior shows some discoloration and signs of wear, but is in good condition.
The plates are all in very nice condition, as are the covers that surround them.
These images and accompanying text give you a glimpse into the history of fair life.
