Large format Bible, Holy Gospel written in the Greek language. The book is bound in a handmade, thick, solid silver cover that has been gilded. This has been verified by a renowned appraiser. The edges are silver-plated, not solid silver. Both the front and back feature various highly detailed biblical depictions in relief. The spine has fine openwork decoration. The whole is in very beautiful, undamaged condition with normal light signs of wear due to age and use. The gilding is somewhat evenly worn in places. Please see the photos for details. There are a few personal notes from the previous user on the first blank page.
