Large format bible, Holy Gospel written in the Greek language. The book is bound in a handmade solid silver cover after which gilded. The edges are not solid silver but silver-plated. This has been tested by a renowned appraiser. Both the front and the back have various very detailed biblical scenes in relief. The spine has fine openwork decoration. The whole is in a very nice undamaged condition with normal light user traces due to age and use. The gilding is here and there somewhat evenly worn. See the photos for this. On the first empty page are a few personal notes from a former user.
An engraved text on the bottom edge of both the front and back.
