Large-format Bible, Holy Gospel written in Greek. The book is bound in a handmade, thick, solid silver cover, which has been gilded. This has been tested by a renowned appraiser. The edges are silvered, not solid silver. Both the front and back cover feature various highly detailed biblical scenes in relief. The spine has fine openwork decoration. The whole is in very beautiful, undamaged condition with normal, light signs of wear due to age and use. The gilding is somewhat worn here and there. See the photos. The first blank page contains a few personal notes from a former owner.
Both the front and back have an engraved text on the bottom edge.
